I liked the location, the room, the facilities, and the staff! I also liked the little touches of snacks in the refrigerator being available to us for free and the chocolate almonds and filtered water in the rooms

Our room was clean, modern, spacious and the bed and linens pillows were very comfortable. Close walking distance to downtown. All around a great experience staying here. The breakfast was decent.

The best place I have stayed in for a long time. I love the feeling of this hotel and the room. The space is so romantic. The bed is very very comfortable. I love the view from windows. So cozy.

We stayed here so we would be near Ojai and could visit our friends. We LOVED staying here. This hotel is right on the beach, so we could walk the pier, grab some happy hour food and drinks, and then walk across to the downtown area for a nice dinner. The hotel also has a lobby bar, where we enjoyed chocolate martinis by the outdoor fire and listened to the waves crash. We enjoyed meeting some of the hotel guests, as well. There's a great breakfast spot called Moofish we really enjoyed, too. GREAT strong coffee. They had a pumpkin muffin that was to die for! You can stroll along the ocean and watch the surfers. We paid for parking next door in the garage, which was $18/night, which you'll pay at the hotel. Would absolutely stay here again!

Staff was incredible. Short on housekeeping crew but they tried to accommodate as needed. Undergoing remodeling in rooms. Even work crews were nice and cleaned up each evening. Perfect location.

    The beach is nice, the train station is right there at the beach and at the Fairgrounds, if you are going to an event there. The downtown area and shops are about a 10 minute walk, and there's lots of great places to eat and shop. Very laid back atmosphere. There's a great tiki bar called Ventiki on Main St (just outside the area that is pedestrian only) - super fun place with great food and drinks.

    I like Ventura, was the second time there.

    I like Ventura, was the second time there. The beach is nice, good to walk along. The public transportation is good, and it give an Amtrak Stop too. Many shops, and restaurants. Besides it's not so expensive so Santa Barbara.

    The weather was great. Easy to get to the beach. Great food. Very relaxing. Love the Pierpont neighborhood vibe. Dukes, Juiceswell and a few other restaurant/bars are wonderful. Also Surf Yogurt shop.

    Loved the pier.

    Loved the pier. The promenade was great for walking every morning, as well as the downtown area. Lots of places to choose for lunch or dinner. Also enjoyed Botanical Gardens as well as Grant Park. The views were awesome!

    Ventura is a nice place to visit, and a particularly great find was the Ventura Botanical Garden. It was wonderful - beautiful plants, well maintained trails and gorgeous vistas. I would go back again any time I'm there. The admission fee was very reasonable.

    Visiting downtown was amazing.

    Visiting downtown was amazing. I grew up in Ventura and love the growth and development the city has maintained. Great place to live and work. Location is ideal for: sailing, hiking, fine dining and 65 miles away from LA. So, trips to Disney Land, Universal Studios or Dodgers games could be enjoyable and a short days ride.

    The room had lots of space, the bed was large and had soft linens, the kitchen appliances were stored away from the room, the bathroom was nice and had Dove brand cosmetics. The view was beautiful and the marina where the hotel is located, had nice restaurant area and also beach. We were allowed to use swimming pool of the near hotel. The parking cost was reasonable (12$/night).

    The check in was fast and efficient, then it went downhill. The room is quite basic, a bed, old table, fridge and aircon. The bed and bedding were good and clean. The shower pressure was good. The Ventura waterfront and marina was excellent and a great place to spend a day shopping and eating.
