Winter Park is close to Denver compared to other large ski resorts, but the mountain itself is smaller and there are not that many bases or bowls to distribute the crowd, so you can easily get trapping in lines. But the snow condition is great, and the view is nice.

The four days that we spent in Winter Park were just enough.

The four days that we spent in Winter Park were just enough. During this time, we went skiing, snow tubing, and snowmobiling. It snowed every day which made conditions for the above super! If we were to spend one more day we would have went to the Rocky Mountain National Park. All in all, a wonderful time in Winter Park with absolutely some of the most beautiful scenery that we have ever seen!

It is fantastically beautiful when there is snow.

It is fantastically beautiful when there is snow. There is so much to do, even if you do not ski. It is not very commercial. We love it there, our third trip. We recommend the nature snowshoe hike, the Fraser tubing hill, the gondola ride, all the skiing. If you have a car drive out of town to explore the national park.

It was very gorgeous and close to other towns, so if you didn't like any food options in Winter Park, you could go to Fraser, Granby, or Grand Lake. The Vintage hotel was a cozy spot to stay in in the mountains, although the drive was a bit scary for a Kansan like me, who hasn't really had to drive through any sort of terrain like that. Everyone was very kind to us anywhere we went and seemed pretty interested in the conversations we'd have. We really wanted to see some animals, like moose, elk, or even a bear, but we didn't see anything while we were there. The forests around were still beautiful, and amazing to look at. Definitely a great scenery if you live in such a flat state.

Small town, many good restaurants, great skiing.

Small town, many good restaurants, great skiing. WP has more blue intermediate runs, MJ side, more black runs. Panoramic Express is a great lift to the top at 12,000 feet. Pepe Osaka, good Mexican/Japanese fusion restaurant, Idylwild, good apps.

Getting around town is very easy.

Getting around town is very easy. I would recommend all wheel drive for the winter. We enjoyed Wake n Bacon, Randi's Pub & Fontenot's. Colorado Adventure Park has great tubing - go early in the day. Lines were crazy long when we left.

A lovely stylish boutique hotel thoughtfully decorated and furnished. Our host was very warm and welcoming, happy to engage and assist as needed. Room and public areas had all you needed for a relaxing and comfortable stay. This is a little gem of a hotel that I hope I will be able to say at again and for much longer.

This is a very nice condo which sits right in front of the bus that takes you to Winter Park resort. We loved the condo and loved the setting. The bedrooms are nice, with clean linens and a warm duvet. The fireplace is a nice touch.

We booked this hotel because other places in the area were a lot more expensive. The hotel is close near Winter Park which has several good restaurants.
