I only booked one night at Avana Retreat for my boyfriend's birthday, as he needed a relaxing getaway—and the hotel absolutely delivered. It’s a true haven of peace. I visited during the winter, and while the rice fields might not be as lush and green as in the summer, the stunning landscapes still took my breath away. Plus, the off-season meant fewer tourists, allowing us to fully recharge and enjoy the privacy and tranquility we were seeking. My boyfriend tried the Avana Waterfall massage, and although it’s a budget, he said it was the best massage of his life. The rooms are luxurious, and we loved spending the night there. If we had more time and a bigger budget, we would have stayed longer. I also attended the Rattan-weaving workshop, which I really enjoyed. It’s included in the reservation, and I really appreciated doing this activity. The staff were friendly and attentive, and they went above and beyond by preparing a birthday cake for my boyfriend. It’s those little touches that make a big difference. I highly recommend Avana Retreat—it’s perfect for anyone in need of relaxation, beautiful surroundings, and outstanding service.

Perfect homestay , good location, a lot of activities to do around, really nice family friendly and helpful, they make the best food ever vegetarian options, nice breakfast included, really clean , nice and big terrace, you can rent bicycles and bikes, sharing a karaoke with the owner, I fully recommend that place , you gonna extend for sure . Hi!! We stayed 7 nights at Madame Hue’s Homestay and we had a great time. If you are looking for a rural, relax and authentic Vietnamese experience, you will be at the right place. We had coup nights with cultural dances. It is also very very pleasant to bike in the area. The rice fields are gorgeous and the neighborhood interesting to discover. I loved going from a community to another. It is a rural experience, remote from Mai Chau. You will need a 20 minutes scooter ride to go to Mai Chau but the road is very nice all the way. You can hire a scooter at the home stay same for the bicycles. The food is very good. The family is generous and helpful. The room was clean and the bed firm for those who likes. Don’t forget your ear plugs as the next door rooster is an early riser, as it should😉. The pool was not fonctionnel during our stay. If you have plenty of time and are adventurous, you can use a scooter to go to Pu Long on a day trip (it’s worth the trip), to the waterfalls or the hot springs. We loved our stay in this part of Beautiful Vietnam. 🇻🇳

We had an amazing stay at Que’s Homestay. The view over the ricefields is amazing and it gives an insight in the real local life of Vietnam (and White Tai village people). Nhgi and his family were lovely and very welcoming. He picked us up at Mai Chau village when we arrived and helped us with finding transport on the day we left. We we’re served a lot of delicious food during our stay, which was all locally sourced. We highly recommend doing the trekking with Nhgi. It is a beautiful walk through the jungle. Midway we stopped at a house on the top of the mountain, were we had lunch with the local people living there. It was very special, we got to help cook and eat the dinner inside their home. The trekking ends with a nice swim in the waterfall near the village. If you want an authentic, local and good experience, you should definitely book Que’s homestay.
