The hop on hop off bus is a good way to get out of town to visit some of the tombs and a pagoda. Some of this can also be visited by boat. The main attraction is the Imperial City. The river is nice. Plenty of activity on the opposite side of the river from the Imperial City. History. Very good food and variety of great places to eat. There were multiple local eateries with English menues and helpful staff, real and cheaper food. Good place to experience Vietnamese meals. A few high class restaurants nearby as well. Lovely walk along river at night with the lights. Also the driver they arranged for us to Hoi An, Peter Quang, gave us a nice excursion and told us a lot about the area and about Vietnam. He was also a very good, calm driver. We were on the 26th floor which allowed us to have an amazing view. The room was clean and beautifully decorated, the staff were very friendly and accommodating and the breakfast was the best we’ve had in Vietnam with local and western food. We liked the location as the hotel is in a local area rather than the main tourism zone and there were lots of local restaurants and cafes nearby (which is handy as the hotel doesn’t do breakfast).
