Meo Vac is in a stunning part of the Ha Giang loop the scenery is breathtaking!! . BUT BE WARNED... most of the featured so called 26 or more "HOMESTAYS " are in a totally artificial new, so called brand new "VILLAGE" outside and completely cut off from the town of Meo Vac itself. This seems to be a very popular choice with Vietnamese tourists but we found it quite bizarre.. and nightly Karaoke is a speciality.!!! a sort of sanitised Disneyland version of what it should be.. The "Homestay village" is a tourist trap and very expensive!! and totally unreal!!!. There are real Homestays in the town where you can get the feel of the real Vietnam...Guest review byTTFNAustralia
