Our stay at Leeuwensbosch Shearers Lodge was beyond our wildest expectations. Everyone at the lodge went above and beyond to make our stay the best it could be and it most certainly was. Kerry, our host, was like a glass of champagne ... bubbly, friendly and helpful. The food was superb. The game drive was also incredible and Ou Boet, our driver, was a font of knowledge with the best sense of humour. Would we recommend this place? Without a shadow of a doubt! Just do it 😁

The location, the beautiful well equipped tent, the food and, most of all, the staff, especially our incredible guide Lenny who was so knowledgeable and really made our stay first class. He even managed to spot the elusive black rhino! The waterhole in front of the dining area is amazing and we saw warthogs and lions drinking there-mind blowing. We didn't want to leave this paradise on earth!

Thanks to the whole team! James, thank you for these unforgettable morning and afternoon rides. You immediately felt that he was a very experienced and funny ranger! Keep it up! We were able to see four of the big five. The lodge is very luxurious. Please remember that you live in the "bush" and you can sometimes encounter insects and other creatures while showering under the open sky. :-) But that's exactly what makes it so special! Many thanks to all the staff at Bush Lodge for this wonderful time. Hope to see you again soon Daniel&Sissy

Arriving at Leeuwenbosch is like stepping back to a time of gracious living. The house was built in 1908 and has large rooms tastefully decorated and full of antiques and family portraits. Frint of house Kerry welcomed us and gave a guided tour of the property. Her husband Steve was also on hand to make sure we were comfortable. Our guide Ouboet was exceptionally knowledgeable, not only in fauna and flora, but also in the area’s history. All the staff were smiling and courteous.

A magical place on a hill overlooking the wide enclosed valley, with 3 giraffes, various antelopes and rhinos walking around in the park. Edwin and Renzo are very welcoming and carrying. There are three cottages, a pool area, a kitchen - cottage, 3 braais and a lounge cottage with a terrace as well several places with tables to choose to dine. Ideal for families or groups upto 8 pax. Please note that since you will e staying with wild life you need to park your car at the Woodbury Tented camp and you will be brought to the accommodation via shuttle( best to check in all together at once if you come as a group. Kitchen is perfectly equipped with all amenities even plenty of fire wood and braai utensils.

Old style of buildings but in the based in the nature.

Old style of buildings but in the based in the nature. Super bedroom and in the morning all kind of animals where in front of your room. Also the Akmala Game reserve tour is highly recommendable because we saw so many wild animals (lions, rhino's, cheetahs, secretary bird,...) The dinner in the lodge was superb.
