Friendly staff in a lush sub tropical setting. The gold course looks amazing (couldn’t play this time), and the meals we had at the hotel and golf clubhouse were all good. Enjoyed a fabulous massage at the Spa. We also visited lovely beaches and restaurants in the surrounding area

    The actual town is not of interest.

    The actual town is not of interest. We tend to go to the Beach Cafe (which is run by the conservancy) which overlooks the sea. It is always spotless and the service is good - but its the location which makes it extra special. It is also pet friendly.

    Pennington is this really small but friendly and beautiful coastal town. There is not a lot of nightlife if this is your thing, but it is well suited for a relaxing time with all the amenities you need and is close by bigger towns if you need something more.

    Lovely coastal town with everything you need in close...

    Lovely coastal town with everything you need in close proximity to a large number of holiday homes. Road could use some work, but adds to the charm of the place. Be sure to visit the Beach Cafe run by the local community where the proceeds are used for local upliftment and environmental projects. More off the beaten track than local Scottburgh, it's a must for those looking for a quiet weekend away.

    Pennington is a small community village with a number of interesting spots to eat out (limited though), a small supermarket and bottle store and a pharmacy which stocks the basics. Lovely beaches in the area.

    One of the best little villages on the South Coast which has...

    One of the best little villages on the South Coast which has blue flag beach status - the community are involved in ensuring that their little village is kept clean and pristine, well-kept gardens around the beach, beautiful forests, safe and one is just able to take a well deserved and quiet holiday away from the hustle and bustle. The Beach Cafe is the best, also not to forget about Umdoni (best sea view in town) and Selborne Golf Courses each with great dining options and Umdoni Point sports centre for those more active. Umdoni Forest and their walking trails is one not to be missed either.

    300m and you are on the beach. Private garden. Nice touches like a bag of ice in the freezer, nespresso machine with a few pods, fresh indigenous cut flowers in the room with a nougat treat. Beach towels and umbrella to use. Little south coast gem that is small dog friendly.

    Lovely estate with plenty to do, safe for kids to walk around, clubhouse to enjoy a meal and a few pools around the estate. The Pennington beach and beach club/pool is really great with good access from the beach and safe parking. Always our favourite place to stay!

    The location was great the shopping centre is in walking distance and the beach was just a 5 minute walk away. The host is very friendly with the best recommendations on local restaurants. The property is very secure for the pets and you have a lot of privacy
