The number of bergies or street people hanging at the SPAR and surrounding area for the size of town was disconcerting. Nearly had an incident regarding the snatch of a cell phone. Sedgefield is a hidden gem, often overlooked by visitors to the Garden Route. Most people only visit the popular markets on Saturdays, but do not know about the spectacular beaches or the stunning river mouth and estuary. The tranquility, beautiful views and sounds of the birds, sums up Sedgefield in our book. Plus the amazing sunrises and sunsets. The accommodation at Karios on the Lake was outstanding, extremely comfortable. A fully equipped kitchen made it a pleasure to do self-catering.
