We had an absolutely magical stay at this charming cottage nestled in nature. What an excellent idea to book this magical place for one night. Chris the owner, was in Heidelberg by chance, met us and drove ahed of us to the villa. He gave us a great tour around the large property, which was a good idea, because the weather turned for the worse and we wouldn't have seen these beautiful vistas on the day of departure. Chris told us that he and his neighbour take good care of these large parcels of land, which mostly remain off bounds to tourists, are kept in their natural state and all non-indigenous trees are being removed. Our grandkids loved the villa's music-room and the biljart table. We all enjoyed being in this quiet, peaceful property that was filled with the owner's pieces of art, gathered from all or the world. We really felt that we were staying in someone's private home instead of in a holiday rental. Of course, as always, the big mistake was ,only book it for one night...

The location is just perfect and when you drive down to the accommodation, the views are amazing. Our stay was perfect, and they upgraded our room. Our chalet was big and beautiful with views of the dam/river. The rooms are very pretty and the beds super comfortable. The indoor fireplace was a bonus. Our stay was just too short, but will be back!
