This was such a perfect hotel to stay in. The lovely little balcony with a view of the stream. The room was spacious, the staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast provided was excellent. It was also very easy to visit nearby towns and access to local walks.

With free Wi-Fi throughout, the award-winning Trout Hotel is situated on the banks of the River Derwent, in Cockermouth. The town is adjacent to the childhood home of poet William Wordsworth.

Wonderful traditional hotel. Staff were always kind and attentive. Room was very comfortable. Great breakfast and evening meals.

In the centre of Cockermouth, Allerdale Court features large rooms with free WiFi. The cosy bar has real ales, open fires and original oak beams.

Location excellent. Service top class. My laundry was done by the hotel. I was most impress with a complimentary breakfast hamper each morning.

incredible views, the hotel itself was absolutely stunning and each and every staff member there are a credit to such a stunning location we are certainly looking to stay there again in the future. We had the most amazing time.
