Even it was not in the city centre, we enjoyed a small walk to Poprad and the stunning weather. We had a brilliant time.

Clean and quiet hotel. Well preserved and thoughtfully designed. With a nice Cafe and a very good breakfast. The apple pie was delicious. Although the rooms do not have any air conditioning, we thought that that was actually a good thing. At beginning the room was hot but leaving the windows open for 30 min or so fixed that issue. Plus you do not have the constant noise of the AC and the unhealthy air produced by them. Further a AC unit in the room would not be very fitting. The furnishing was well selected. The staff was very friendly. You could really imagine the splendour of the past empire time.

The Modry Dom apartments are a wonderful place to stay if you want to enjoy the natural beauty of the Slovak Paradise. We discovered this place completely by chance – we were traveling from a climbing trip in Austria to Slovakia to do the Kyseľ via ferrata and explore some climbing spots in Slovak Paradise. We were looking for a place to stay on the way, and initially wanted to stay at a campsite, as it’s important for us to be as close to nature as possible. Since we couldn’t find any beautiful campsites, and we were planning to arrive late in the evening while it was raining, we started looking for a place in a village with a garden – and that’s how we found Modry Dom. Modry Dom is located in a charming little village, in a residential area, with views of the mountains and meadows. The apartment interior is tasteful and elegant – just like in the photos. The bed is comfortable, the linens are fragrant, the bathroom is beautiful and well thought-out, and through the large windows you can see the garden. The living room and kitchen are combined – just as elegant and spacious as the bedroom – and although they are shared, we never ended up at the table at the same time as the neighbors. The kitchen is equipped with all the necessary utensils and appliances for cooking, and – importantly – there are also basic cooking essentials provided: pepper, salt, sugar, oil, etc. The price for this apartment was the same as we would have paid at a campsite, but with completely different comforts – so in the end we got a “camping experience in a house” with the nature view we were hoping for. The host was incredibly kind. The other guests we met were also lovely, wonderful people who had returned to these apartments more than once. We’ll do the same. P.S. On Sunday we visited the local church where the locals gathered for a Sunday service, and afterwards we had ice cream. The wonders of Slovak Paradise were just a 30-minute drive away. Perfect location, comfortable big apartment, amazing breakfast menu. Excellent place.

It is difficult to speak about location in a village so small, nevertheless, this one has it the best - just a few steps from the train station, the supermarket and nearly all the restaurants. The suite is very comfortable in every aspect. There's a large wardrobe where one can dry their garments, which must be especially useful for skiing. There's also a kitchenette if you don't feel for a dinner in a restaurant. Beds are extremely comfy with a set of pillows of every size and softness. Very diverse and nutritious breakfasts. Ventilation in the bathroom and in the toilet is very efficient, humidity has no chance.

This pension is absolutely amazing! The rooms were cleaned, breakfast tasty and big portions. The owners always friendly, ready to help. In this stay I felt so pampered, taken care of. Only best recommendations for this place! We were very happy to stay in this place. ❤️

The location was in the centre of the town but also very peaceful. The breakfast was good.
