SwitzerlandA fantastic retreat by the river, about an hour from Chiang Mai. Various bungalows with garden or river views—we chose one by the river with a shared pool, offering a peaceful stay. The large main pool by the restaurant has never been crowded either. Breakfast is well-arranged with local, Asian, and Western options, and the restaurant is great for all meals. Best of all, it’s close to elephant camps for walking, bathing, and riding—highly recommended
