Convento de San Benito is a restored convent, set in the pretty Galician fishing port of A Guarda. The spacious rooms all have a french balcony, a minibar and a safe. A fantastic, historic hotel, it was a great stop at Camino. Visiting the hotel was an attraction in itself.

This charming and rustic-style hotel is located in the historical center of Ribadeo, only 100 metres from the seafront promenade and the marina. The owners were so helpful. The breakfast was good. I had an injury so they gave extra pillows and set up an early breakfast for us in the lobby the morning I had an early hospital appointment. The attic room was cosy with skylights and plants. I would stay again.

Hotel Rua Villar is situated in the historic centre of Santiago de Compostela, just 15 metres from the cathedral. The elegant rooms are decorated with dark wood and feature free Wi-Fi. I've been greeted by one of the most attentive and charming receptionist I came across in recent years. She recommended a couple of local events taking place that evening, anticipated some of the things I might need for the next day and did it all with the brightest smile and warmest approach. The overall design of the room / hotel was very nice, sending you back in time for the time you were there.
