This hotel is divided into 2 buildings from the 18th-century, a former school, from Napoleon III period. Hôtel de Biencourt is located in Azay-le-Rideau, in the Parc naturel régional Loire-Anjou-Touraine. This is another place that rates quite high for my family, with 30 years of experience of traveling to Europe! The owner is phenomenal and warmly welcomed us when we arrived. As it was before our room was ready, we could leave our luggage at the property. Communication prior to arrival was excellent. The facilities, including our beautiful room and bathroom, are great. The breakfast room has plenty of options. The exterior courtyard was peaceful and charming. The location of the hotel is perfect, being a 1 minute walk to Chateau d'Azay-le-Rideau. The small village is serene and easy to explore during a short evening walk. We parked (2 nights) at the free spots in "Parking de La Passerelle", about 5 minutes away. There might be free overnight parking a bit closer at L'ilot d'Azay, but ask beforehand if it is free and legal. Definitely make Hotel de Biencourt your choice when in this part of France. You will not regret it!

La Maison du Carroir is an elegant B&B located in central Blois, just 550 metres from Blois Castle. A homemade, continental breakfast is served every day, and the B&B features a terrace in the enclosed garden. The owner is amazing, super helpful and friendly. We had a large room which was immaculate and so well prepared to the details even better than a hotel. Love it

Beautifully decorated large French style room , great breakfast , hosts Charles and Geraldine gave us excellent advice re things to do and see in the area and were very personable . Would have loved to stay longer .
