Located in the centre of Bayeux, the Domaine de Bayeux is set in an 18th century house featuring a tree-lined park. It’s beautiful, conveniently located and the rooms are spacious and very comfortable. And the staff is super nice.

We loved everything about this accommodation. We were there for 2 nights with another couple. We had two rooms side by side. We were welcomed right away and shown to our rooms. Each room had its own bathroom and even couch or sitting area. The beds were very comfortable and the rooms were spacious. We reserved the dinner which was available our first night. It was amazing! If this is an option for you, you should definitely take advantage! It was 33 euros and sooo worth it. Breakfast was also great. The grounds were beautiful as well. I wish we could have stayed longer to enjoy everything it had to offer.

Located in Meuvaines in the Basse-Normandie region, Le Clos des Courtines is set in a 18th-century house. Free Wi-Fi access, a garden with terrace are some of the property’s facilities. Amazing atmosphere with a very friendly hostess. We felt at home straight away. The neighborhood was amazing with a great view of the local eglise! The room was spacious and very clean. And the beds! Omg the beds were amazing for taller people! We had one of the more comfortable stays through booking. Very much worth the money and your stay! Our dog loved it too! Thanks Agnés

It was like staying in a friends home. From the welcome , check in to the room, everything was perfect. You can use the garden as you please and the breakfast was served at a long table with other guest, creating a really nice atmosphere.. everything was perfect.

A short walk to the main street with shops, restaurants and site seeing. A bonus is that there is a park across the street! Not far from Normandy. Bayeux has a wonderful D-Day museum and cemetery which are within walking distance. The person helping us with breakfast and check-in and check-out was wonderful! She even made me homemade hot chocolate each morning since I don't drink coffee! Room was spacious and very comfortable.

Small boutique hotel with a service truly above and beyond. Just one example: when I was driving up to the car park in front of the hotel, two staff members were already standing outside and waiting to grate me. Only downside I can think of is the breakfast can use some variety, however the bar has a lot of drinks to choose from , Including some excellent calavados.

This Best Western is located in Ouistreham, 2 km from the ferry terminal and 7 km from Normandy's famous landing beaches. Guests can enjoy the outdoor heated pool. Arriving late from an afternoon ferry from the UK, it was good to find a very quiet place. Staff were helpful without being intrusive. Great location for getting on to my onward journey. Decent sized rooms, tea and coffee making facilities welcome and not always common in France. Super clean.

The restaurant was simply wonderful, in my top 10 meals of 2024. I cannot recommend highly enough.

We booked Hotel Le Lion while in Bayeux, after a terrible experience at Moulin Morin (where we had initially booked 3 nights together with our friends). As we were on vacation, there was no point in suffering more than one night, so I looked for other options. There were many choices on Booking, but after a careful analysis we chose Hotel Le Lion and it was the best choice! I felt sorry we didn't choose well in the first place and waisted money, time and ruining the vacation mood on Moulin Morin. By comparison, Le Lion was worth every penny. I felt sorry we had to live after 2 nights, but we had a plane to catch. To sum up: Large, beautiful room, very clean, water and coffee machine in the room, also Dyson Cool in the room. High bed, very comfortable mattress. All the staff was very professional, even better than at some 5 * chain hotels. It exceeded my expectations and I have high standards. Excellent breakfast, very diverse choices of cheese, meat, bread, sweets, a wide variety of fruits (from cherries to dragon fruit), almond milk. We booked the dinner at La Table du Lion one of the evenings: excellent food, impeccable service. In the morning, apart from breakfast, in the reception there were croissants and lemonade. At the reception desk we received very good recommendations for things to do in Bayeux. Excellent stay, overall!!
