With 125 air-conditioned bedrooms, Holiday Inn Express Newport is a modern hotel, offering free private parking and free Wi-Fi throughout. I travelled to Newport for a family funeral . Staff at the hotel repeatedly went above and beyond with assistance. They allowed other family members to use our room facilities and provided breakfast, hours after it had stopped being served . I didn't get their names, but staff on the front desk should be highly commended .

This historic country inn has delicious food and luxury rooms. It is within a few km of the famous Celtic Manor Resort, home of the 2010 Ryder Cup. The Old Barn Inn dates back to the early 1750s. We were made very welcome as soon as we arrived. Sian who seemed to be everywhere, really had a great way about her, she is an asset to The Old Barn. Breakfast was a treat, tasty and filling.
