Each simple room includes a flat-screen TV and a bathroom. An excellent hotel, a perfect stay. The staff were friendly, helpful and approachable, the rooms stylish and very comfortable, and the breakfast excellent. There was even a welcome note from the manager on arrival. The location, about 10 minutes' walk from the railway station and a couple into Abergavenny centre, can't be bettered. The bar was a lovely place for a drink. There's no restaurant, but you don't need one: sister hotel The Angel, in the centre, is the best place to eat in town. We will definitely return.

The property is set in a late 16th century coaching inn. Breakfast was great, as was dinner. A fantastic meal. And I loved the access to nearby meadows for walking. A really cool place.
