It is less than 20 minutes’ drive from Warwick, where guests can visit the imposing castle built by William the Conqueror in 1068. Cosy and convenient, short walk to town centre. The host made us feel very welcome and the breakfast was delicious. Would love to visit again.

The Red Lion is a Grade 2 listed stone-built coaching inn dating from 1748, located in an area of outstanding natural beauty and well situated for Stratford Upon Avon, Warwick, Oxford and The Cotswolds. This was easily the best stay I have ever had. The rooms, service, food, ambiance, and the overall experience was second to none. I loved the multi-course breakfast every morning, with a cozy fire always within view. The staff helped me find my way around town and were always checking to see if I needed anything. Traveling alone in a foreign country, I was made to feel at home.

The Salamander Guesthouse is a 2 storey Edwardian building which has recently undergone an extensive renovation (May 2023) to modernise all its facilities, offering guests comfortable accommodation all with en-suite shower rooms. In the picturesque town ideal for leisurely walks, Salamander Guest House is located just a stroll away from all major sights and close enough to dash back for a sweater when it gets chilly. The host was incredibly kind and helpful. We were so glad we followed all her advice about dinners and breakfasts. She even made sure we attracted as many butterflies as possible with her grapefruit-scented shampoo.
