We are only 1 hour from Bath, and there are a host of fabulous golf courses and fishing areas, plus some of the most beautiful riverside walks. A lovely riverside pub called The Bridge Inn Woodford is a 5-minute drive away and has a stunning pub garden overlooking the water. A giant Waitrose Supermarket is within a 10-minute drive. The best place we stayed on a 3-week tour of the UK. My toddler learnt a new word - wow! We loved it. Felt very homely, not like an Airbnb that has had all of its charm stripped away. It is decorated with natural wood furnishings and features a restaurant, a bar and free parking on-site. Lovely place, Nice restaurant, it was a lovely surprise. The packed breakfast was wonderful.

The entire team was absolutely kind, welcoming, and supportive from start to finish. The rooms were spotless and the beds incredibly comfortable — my kids and I felt right at home. We especially appreciated the variety of food options, with three different styles to choose from, and the beautiful garden and terrace were perfect for a relaxed lunch or dinner outdoors. Exceptional Stay at Quidhampton Mills Quidhampton Mills is conveniently located very close to Salisbury, making it an ideal base for exploring the area. The cleanliness of the property was exceptional, and the flat was beautifully decorated with a warm, homely touch. Every detail was thoughtfully considered, making our stay incredibly comfortable. Lesa was a fantastic host—she provided clear communication both before our arrival and throughout our stay. She thoughtfully explained local attractions and even provided us with a detailed information folder, which was very helpful. The kitchen, though compact, was a pleasure to use. It was well-equipped with a washing machine, dishwasher, microwave, and a full range of utensils—all in immaculate condition. I’ve never had a better experience staying away from home. The property also features a secure parking area with 24-hour access via remote, which added to our convenience and peace of mind. I wholeheartedly recommend this beautiful place to anyone visiting Salisbury. Thank you, Lesa, for making our stay so enjoyable. We truly hope to return to Quidhampton Mills in the future!

Lorne House is a Victoria villa, in the Wiltshire village of Box, just 6 miles from Bath. Free WiFi and onsite parking is available.

Each room has an en-suite and is either a bathroom or wet-room. Tea/coffee making facilitird, a hairdryer, flat-screen TV and ironing facilities are provided. What a great find this was. Lovely place that has recently been revamped according to the owner Bob. I arrived early and knocked on the door to ask if it was okay to leave my bag and car whilst I went off with a colleague. Bob immediately ushered me inside and gave me a key to my room. The room was very spacious, clean and well decorated. And the bed was probably the most comfortable I have slept in. I usually struggle to sleep away from home. Not this time, I was out like a light. Breakfast was really good, fresh produce cooked perfectly. The team here are really friendly and I couldn’t have wished for a better stop over. I would definitely stay here again.

The room was lovely!! So confortable, spacious and nice. Comfortable bed and new recicled bathroom. The breakfast was really good!!

The individual rooms at Northey Arms have period features and stylish decor, and all have a TV and work desk. Rooms also feature a luxury modern bathroom with free toiletries, fluffy bathrobes and slippers. We booked two rooms and they were very nice! The rooms were well decorated and had many nice accents.
