We had a lovely stay in Luxury Atitlan. The staff were friendly and helpful. Excellent location. The room was large, clean and had an excellent View of the lake and Indian Nose mountain. The room had a hair dryer, shampoo and other bits which was very helpful.

The location, a small and intimate hotel, we booked the double room with private bathroom and it was a bit of a luxury in this small hostel. Everything was so clean. The terrace was a lovely place to sit and talk with other travellers. Recommend San Juan if you don’t want the chaos of Pana or the party backpacker scene of San Pedro. A charming town on Lake Atitlan.

This place is absolutely stunning, it was our favourite stay in our entire time in gautemala. The views are just gorgeous, the people are lovely, the glamping is cosy and comfortable. The food was healthy and delicious. We were so sad to leave. If we ever come back to gautemala we will stay here.

This stay was exceptional, the best on our trip. The hostel is newly renovated and beautiful, very clean and well maintained. There is a kitchen with nice pots and dishes as well as warm shower. The shared area is comfortable and nicely designed. The rooms are also very pretty and the bed very comfy. The owner and the staff and really friendly and helpful. We spent Christmas there making tamales and had really good time overall. The hostel is small and cozy with just 3 rooms and have a family feeling. We loved it.

What a fantastic find! El Picnic has been the highlight of our 2 week Guatemalan holiday. Gorgeous setting, stunning views of the lake (the best one can find!), perfectly comfortable yet adventurous accommodation and delicious food offered by Gaby and Jochen made us regret we were to stay at El Picnic for just only 2 nights. Thank you as well for making my wife’s birthday dinner so special, we could not ask for a better celebration! We would absolutely love to come back one day and enjoy even more conversations, cocktails and laughs with you!
