Just 500 metres North of Carlow in a quiet mature area (a 10-minute stroll), Avlon House Bed and Breakfast is an ideal base for touring the South-East of Ireland. I didn't partake in the breakfast. Everything is was FANTASTIC! And a special thank you to Tom for bringing my glasses to the train station.

Nestled against the banks of the River Barrow and surrounded by luscious green grounds, the 4-star Woodford Dolmen Hotel Carlow is located just outside Carlow. Lovely comfortable, modern and clean room. Night porter was lovely when I checked in late.

In the centre of Carlow town, Dinn Ri Hotel features boutique rooms, an on-site nightclub and live band venue, and an outdoor terraced bar. The stylish sports bar includes three 48-inch plasma TVs. Location was great, room was excellent with lovely products. it was very clean. The staff were lovely.
