They had a welcome drink for us as soon as we arrived and we had a great conversation with the staff. I wish I had stayed the whole time instead of just one night... I couldn't because I had already booked another hotel and would have had to pay cancellation fees...

Located in the colonial city of Fort Cochin, Tissa's Inn is housed in a mansion 1 km from Fort Cochin Beach and Chinese Fishing Nets. It offers an outdoor pool and massage services. The location along a main street not far from the main toursty area of Fort Kochi was perfect. The building itself and the decoration of the house was beautiful. The room was quiet even though the property is next to the main street. It was an easy and nice walk (less than 10 mins) through interesting streets to the main tourst area. The shops nearbly just outside the Inn were very convenient and I got my local sim card from a shop oppoposite. Room was comfortable and clean without much view (but it is alright). Breakfast was good. Dinner at the hotel was great too and reasonably priced. Service was professional yet warm.

Experience a forgotten era at this cozy, cultural gem. The Old Courtyard Hotel is an historic and tranquil sanctuary with ten antique-appointed rooms in the very heart of old Fort Kochi. So central to everything but tucked away and super quiet. Staff is very helpful and breakfast was delicious!

Located just 50 metres from the scenic Alleppey Beach, Raheem Residency features an outdoor swimming pool, a spa and wellness centre and multi-cuisine restaurant offering sea view. This place has it all. Superb staff and some great characters. Quirky but delightful rooms. The restaurant was amazing with a wide variety of tasty food. Nothing was too much trouble from ordering taxis to keeping the beers coming. Had a great week here and hopefully will be coming back.

Overlooking the serene backwaters, Le Méridien Kochi offers well-appointed guestrooms that have stunning views of the lush greenery. The staff at Le Meridien understands how to ensure guests have a good experience. They are efficient and always focus on the guest needs from reception, sign-in through to arranging departure transport. Wherever you go, staff and management engage with you to ensure your stay is as good as it can be. In the restaurant, the chef and waiters gave us personal attention to help us with gluten-free food options and went out of their way to provide fresh and off-menu options. In between they took time to chat to us about our travels and explained the food and culture of Kerala. The room staff left us special messages that made us feel at home. Chef Peter kept an eye out for us in the restaurant, he always came over, explained the food options, and even made us special treats. We ended up sharing recipes! Special mention must go to Nandita Kumar as the guest relations officer. Nandita and the front desk staff helped us with so much. From tourism attractions & transport to getting an acclaimed Henna artist to apply her trade in our rooms. She was always looking out for us and went out of her way to come and check on us. She was super helpful showing real interest in our vacation needs. It felt like we had a friend on the staff who was helping us in ways that made us feel like we were the only people in the hotel. All in all we felt very special and we experienced full-on Indian hospitality in line with the saying 'Guest is like God' - Atithi Devo Bhava. All of this comes at very reasonable prices, in a convenient location and great facilities.
