Be sure to catch a tour of the Torre. Visit Arianna’s gift shop full of her art. But the breakfast in Mirella’s kitchen with the gorgeous window views were spectacular. This is the the best breakfast of our whole trip in Italy.

The Rooms: spacious with some 1300s furniture. Good AC and quiet neighborhood for a good night sleep. Manager: Marta is for sure the highlight of the stay. Very welcoming, helpful and delightful soul. Roof top: in a nice summer night, what a way to end the day ! Highly recommended!

The accommodation offers a solarium, free WiFi throughout the property and family rooms. Our favourite stay in Italy. Adriano is a great host. The accommodation is better than in the photos, it is stunning. Rooms are large, clean and comfortable. Loved it here, so peaceful.

This spectacular hilltop village in the Gran Sasso National Park has been perfectly preserved. Rooms and junior suites are scattered in the original, period buildings. My stay in Santo Stefano di Sessanio , in Sextantio Albergo Diffuso was truly unforgettable. The hotel was beautifully restored using traditional materials and techniques, giving the rooms an incredibly authentic and historic charm. It felt like stepping back in time, but with all the comfort and attention to detail you could ask for. The staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming. A special thank you to Fabiana and Jessica, who went above and beyond even before my arrival — answering all my questions quickly, helping me plan my trip, and organizing two amazing experiences: a cheese-making class and a bread-making class right in the village. Both were not only fun but deeply connected me to the local culture. The village itself is small but full of character. There are several lovely restaurants and charming little shops where you can find local products and souvenirs. If you love nature, you can go hiking in the nearby Gran Sasso mountains or visit historical sites like Rocca Calascio. Overall, this was a peaceful, enriching escape — the perfect place to slow down and disconnect. I would absolutely return and recommend it to anyone looking for something truly special and authentic.

Boasting a shared lounge and views of city, La Locanda di Gino is a bed and breakfast set in a historic building in Sulmona, 7.8 km from Majella National Park. The property features inner courtyard and quiet street views, and is 36 km from Roccaraso - Rivisondoli. The bed and breakfast has family rooms. I never write reviews but this property lived up to all our expectations and more. The property was beautiful, very clean and well organized rooms, wonderful soft linen and towels, great Amenities, restaurant down stairs and a 1min walk to town centre. Super friendly staff willing to go the extra mile , on checkout we required a cab to the bus stop and the owner without a fuss loaded our luggage and drop us there personally. Next level ! I could go on and on….. Would strongly recommend anyone visiting this beautiful part of the the world to stay with Gino !

La Locanda del Parco offers rustic, elegant rooms in a quiet area with views of the Gran Sasso Natural Park. Il Giglio Rosso restaurant serves specialities of Teramo, and a selection of local wines.

Each room features air conditioning, free Wi-Fi, and SKY channels. The private bathroom has a shower and hairdryer. Some rooms offer a private balcony. Large pretty property, though hard to tell from the outside because of the renovation work currently being done. Good-sized bedroom, comfortable bed, tasty and extensive breakfast, and an excellent and very well-priced restaurant. House wine was pretty good, as was the range of draft beers on tap. Food was a highlight of my stay, along with the helpful staff who provided lots of tips for hiking in the Grand Sasso area and provided detailed maps as well. Definitely a place to stay if you are visiting the Grand Sasso area.
