The Galle Fort Hotel began life as an 18th Century Dutch villa and along the way has taken many guises from RAF barracks, post office, bakery, lapidary and in the recent past a pitch for the Fort’s... Perfect stay! The Grand Apartment Suite was exceptionally comfortable and the staff were very patient and quick to accomodate to our requests. The cocktails were amazing and we loved having drinks on the hotel verandah in the evening, very picturesque. Breakfast items were yummy and the pool was very inviting.

This was our second stop upon arrival in Sri Lanka, after a night and day in Colombo. It has been my and my daughter's top favorite hotel and stay, because mainly of its colonial and historical charm. A wonderful place, led by a female manager, which is to be underlined, a very nice lady. The staff is local, the attention to detail as well (!), the food and breakfast are super copious, generous and fresh, there is a nice à la carte menu, and the pool is wonderful. My daughter enjoyed it! We were lucky to be and visit Galle during the week-end, so we didn't feel the over-touristic crowd and atmosphere, since many Sri Lankan were strolling along the city walls, visiting. This is definitely a very touristic spot, the many shops attest this, but there are a few very nice and niche places. Stay min 2 nights, and if you can and want you may tour the nearby beaches and towns and wildlife reserves from there, this is possible. We've also enjoyed our train ride from Colombo to Galle, which is not too long and absolutely wonderful in the lush coastline greenery. We loved our room, its setup, the geometry and decoration of the hotel, the beautiful purple lotus flowers and the local touches everywhere. Chic. It pleased my eye every day!

The number is spacious, there is everything you need (air conditioning, fan, storage places, refrigerator and microwave oven). Good Internet if you need to work. Very tasty breakfast, large cuisine and dining area. Safe accommodation, gate and gate are closed to the lock. There is a place for parking in the territory of the villa. The excellent location of the villa, not far from the bus stop, railway stage and beach. The very good -natured owner helped us deliver suitcases to the station.

Very close to good restaurants and shopping.

L’établissement Fort de 19 Villa - Galle Fort bénéficie d’un emplacement attractif dans le centre de Galle. The room was super spacious with high ceilings, making it feel airy and bright. The bathroom was also large and very functional. But it’s not just the room—the entire building was spotless! We even had our own rooftop with an incredible view. We stayed for five days and never even left the Fort area—everything, from top-class restaurants to cozy cafés, was within walking distance, so we didn’t need a tuk-tuk at all. The people were amazing—always kind and smiling. Next time we visit, we won’t even look for another place; we’ll definitely stay here again. 100% recommended!

Situé à côté de la plage d'Unawatuna, le Sergent House occupe une villa de caractère à l'architecture coloniale datant des années 1800. perfect location. very comfortable bed and peaceful sleep. decorated beautifully. food and drinks were amazing and staff were very helpful. thank you…will definitely be back!

Sri Lanka chef-d'œuvre architectural Dunes Unawatuna hôtel est un hôtel de caractère respectueux de l'environnement près de la belle plage d'Unawatuna (100 mètres / 5 minutes à pied). Beautiful room on an amazing complex. Loved the garden and the location to town / beach. Everything was wonderful and the staff were very attentive.

We had a wonderful stay at Roman Beach Hotel. The service was exceptional and the staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. The food was another highlight — delicious, with large portions that really exceeded expectations. The hotel wasn’t crowded, which made the atmosphere very relaxing. Our room was spacious, clean, and well-maintained. It does show a bit of age, but nothing that affects comfort. We also had a jacuzzi in the room, which was a nice touch. The Wi-Fi worked perfectly — we were able to stream Netflix and YouTube without any lag. There was no TV in the room, possibly removed for repairs. Also, since we were on the top floor, the water pressure was a bit low. The location is right on the beachfront, but the beach itself is almost non-existent as the sea comes very close to the property. However, Narigama Beach is just a short 30-meter walk away and is much better for a beach experience. Overall, it was a really enjoyable and comfortable stay. Exceptional value for money. Would definitely recommend!

Le Suite Lanka se trouve sur la plage de sable d'Hikkaduwa, l'une des plus grandes plages de la côte ouest du Sri Lanka. Il propose un hébergement spacieux, une piscine extérieure et un restaurant. C’est vraiment un super hôtel , le restaurant est excellent (pied sur la plage / avec vue sur la mer / les plats sont très bons ) , la chambre était spacieuse et confortable, nous avons adoré notre vue sur les palmiers et la plage ! Le personnel est vraiment adorable / serviable / sympathique !! Notre chambre était nettoyée tous les jours, et nous retrouvions des petites fleurs sur les lits , c’était vraiment trop mignon !! Très bonne connexion wifi !
