Solvorn
Walaker Hotel’s unique rooms create an old-world charm with their antique furniture, high ceilings and decorative curtains. The stylish bathrooms include a bathtub or shower, toilets and free bath products. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the hotel. Extremely charming hotel full of history in a beautiful and quiet Fjord. Straight from a postcard! Has been led by the same family for 300 years, amazing hosts. Breakfast is one of the best i’ve ever had! Such a memorable stay!
Flåm
This refurbished 1800s manor house is in Flåm, 200 metres from the Aurlandsfjord. It provides a restaurant, a large garden and free WiFi access. All rooms have views towards the Aurlandsfjord or the surrounding mountains. The hotel was right behind the Flåmsbana- just a short walk from the cruise to Gudvangen, the bus stop and the tourist information. The view from the balcony was breathtaking. The breakfast & dinner buffet had many choices and everything was delicious- there was a selection of local cheeses as well.
Aurland
Vangsgaarden Gjestgiveri is located in the oldest buildings in the village of Aurland. Situated on the shores of Aurlandsfjord, it offers wonderful views of the surrounding mountains. Guests can also enjoy free WiFi. First off, we showed up after check-in was over - not a problem, we just sent an email and the staff had our whole welcome package and keys ready on the desk. Next, the bed was comfortable, the room quiet, the bathroom clean and nice. The breakfast the next morning was a good Norwegian breakfast - mix of meats and cheeses, different breads, eggs, cereals, and some jelly donuts and square slices of chocolate cake that were honestly amazing. Couldn't stop myself from going back for more of those cakes. Coffee was delicious too. Finally, the locale. First, Aurlandsvangen is an awe-inspiring place. The fjord is vast and the scale will truly impress you. It is definitely something to see in person. The town of Aurland is really nice and has much more in it than neighbouring Gudvangen and a real Scandinavian almost ski-town feel to it. It is a very short drive away from Flam and is definitely a way I would recommend to go if you want to ride the Flamsbana (which a lot of people will report is an excellent way to see the fjords). It's a 4.5 hour drive from Oslo but what a drive. Finally there are roads to go up the mountains to get a breathtaking view of the entire fjord arrangement from up high at Stegastein - my wife is terrified of heights but didn't want to come back down! I can't recommend this place and this town enough if you want to see a beautiful, vast landscape and stay somewhere "cozy" (not small, more like hygge if you're familiar with the term). Oh and I forgot to mention the grounds of the hotel with lots of outdoor seating - you can grab cushions from the chest and they're warm, soft and plush. And it's quiet. It's honestly amazing. Come here.
Flåm
This hotel is 100 metres from Flåm Train Station and offers free WiFi and private parking. Rooms at Flåmsbrygga Hotel feature Norwegian pinewood panelling and tea/coffee facilities.
Each room has a private bathroom with a shower. Some rooms have a balcony offering views of the Aurland Fjord and the mountains.
It is a beautiful hotel right at the heart of Flam. Everything is close by - the Visitor Center, the bus station, the Flamsbana and the museum. The staff were helpful and room was amazing with great views. The breakfast was the best we had during our trip in the Nordic region.
Gudvangen
Situated in western Norway’s Nærøyfjord, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, this waterfront hotel offers easy access to ferry boat fjord tours. Some rooms have skylights with views up to Kjelsfossen Waterfall. We booked the Viking room and it was great and the staff was very friendly! The food, breakfast and dinner, was also very good! And of course the highlight of the amazing surrounding and waking up at the fjords. Definitely go to Viking Village which is a 2 minute walk.
Stryn
Housed in a 19th-century building by Stryn Bay, this hotel offers individually decorated rooms with private balconies and free WiFi access. Stryn centre is a short walk away.
All guest rooms at Visnes Hotel Stryn have traditional furnishings. Each room has a seating area and a private bathroom with shower.
Excellent breakfast comfortable room friendly staff
Myrdal
At the head of the famous Flåm Railway in Myrdal, this hotel is only accessible by train and sits high above Aurlandsfjord. It is not located very close to Myrdal station, it's located 1,5 km from Myrdal. It's not possible to walk to the hotel wintertime due to the snow conditions. We recommend to take the train one stop down from Myrdal to Vatnahalsen station. Important to check the timetable for the trains. It takes 30 minutes to walk summertime. It's NOT possble to drive by car to Vatnahalsen hotel. The location is beautiful and very close to the zipline which led us to having the most amazing day of our whole Scandinavian adventure. We did the zipline followed by the bike ride then the fjord safari in Flam followed by the flamsbana back up later in the day. We used this as a way to break up the journey from Oslo to Bergen and I'm so glad we did. The hotel is quirky and homely with excellent food provision all day, you don't need anything else.

It has a stylish interior. The colour combinations and furniture show explicit edged taste. This is the hotel with best interior design. Wow.
What a beautiful and unusual place! The house is stunning and beautifully set out. The staff were so friendly and kind and we absolutely loved our stay. The view from the shared balcony is out of this world. The shared kitchen is lovely. So many places to sit, relax and enjoy the view. We had one luxury stay (not a hostel!) in Norway and we're so glad that this is where we chose to have it.
Amazing location, cannot fault how close it is to everything. Very lovely rooms and designs. Slightly dated but it suits the vibe and feels very authentic. The staff are reserved but very professional and friendly.
Very stylish, modern, well appointed accommodation in a fantastic location. Beautiful views from many areas of the accommodation. Very well designed and built. Very well maintained and clean. Great communication including meeting on-site to welcome and introduce the property. 10/10. Hope to return.
The apartment is the most expensive one in my whole trip in Norway, however, the best too. Very spacious with a modern nordic design, my wife and my daughter both gave five thumbs up and wowed. Terrace is lovely and there is a stunning view of the spectacular glacier. Free paddles and kayaks are bonus to us becuase we love olden lake! Unforgettable experience of kayaking on the lake. My daughter bravely took the challenge of controlling the boat by herself , impressive!
The house was exeptionally good. Stylishly designed in a traditional Norwegian manner. The owner was very helpful and gave is maps to show the main attractions. The lounge was stunning and probably the nicest I have stayed in.
Location absolutely stunning - much quieter than touristy Flam Stylish design and fittings.
