Housed in an 18th-century palace, this hotel blends a historical setting with picturesque views of the Lousã Mountains. Set in beautiful gardens, Octant Lousa features an outdoor pool. This hotel is stunning. Clean and well cared for, the staff clearly care about the hotel and it's reputation. Breakfast was delicious and had great variety. I would recommend Octant Lousa to any and all travellers. Wow.

Hotel Meliá Castelo Branco is located on a hilltop, offering panoramic views of Castelo Branco. It features a health club with an indoor pool, sauna and Turkish bath. Everything was great. Good comfortable rooms. Excellent facilities with a large swimming pool, jacuzzi, sauna, turkish bath, tennis court, squash court and more. Breakfast was very complete and of great quality (the fried eggs and bacon were just perfect). Location is just outside the castle and therefore slightly outside town but that means it has a very open view which we really liked and anyway everything is very close in Castelo Branco.
