Santa Bárbara Eco-Beach Resort is located in Ribeira Grande, north coast of São Miguel Island. Featuring a privileged view of the mountains and the sea, the resort offers direct access to the beach, a beach bar, a swimming pool and a restaurant. Location- right on a cliff overlooking a beautiful black sand beach. Perfect! Rooms, spacious with a private hot tub that was quite relaxing. Breakfast- just the right amount of local products with the included option of made to order eggs and other quality items. Very well prepared!

Some rooms have a sea view. We liked absolutely everything. The hosts, the location - just across the road - the ocean Hotel itself looks stunning and cosy.

Private bathrooms and cable TVs are standard in all rooms at Hotel Sete Cidades. Some include balconies, while others come with mountains views. The staff are absolutely lovely and so friendly.. they speak English well and try to accommodate all your requirements. they had a corkscrew and wine glasses when needed too! the breakfast is basic, no hot food but all fresh, ham, cheese, bread, rolls, pineapple, melon, cakes, yogurt, cereal and freshly squeezed orange juice, maracujá and red fruits juice, coffee and tea. The twin room had a bath and powerful hot shower, a bidet, big balcony with a side view of the sea and city, table and chairs. decor is dated and basic but you're gonna spend most of your time exploring the beautiful island! The hotel is kinda dated and smells like an old hotel but it's pleasant. they put up Xmas trees and decor in reception. so nice. Also there's access to a roof terrace with nice views of the sea, hills and city, which most hotels won't have location is great, close to everything in the centre, just 5-10mins walk

MS Vila Nova is centrally located in Ponta Delgada, 1 km from the Convento da Esperança. The hotel features an outdoor pool.

My Story Hotel Vila Nova’s guest rooms are decorated in blue and grey tones. They include extra long beds and a private bathroom with bathtub and shower. Suites also feature a minibar. I absolutely loved everything about this hotel! It's quite small and has a cosy feel about it. The staff are very friendly and professional. The rooms are spacious and spotlessly clean and the breakfast was absolutely delicious - 10 euros for an all you can eat extravaganza with all the trimmings. I also liked that they provided allergy information with the breads (I have a nut allergy). It's a short ride from the airport (the taxi cost us 12 euros) and has an outdoor swimming pool and a nice shared lounge area.

Pico do Refúgio - Casas de Campo combines a natural setting with history, art, and sea views. It offers traditional-style houses with a contemporary design and an outdoor swimming pool in São Miguel countryside, Azores. We had an incredible stay at Pico do Refúgio, enjoying the unique experience of being the only guests for the week in this charming former tea factory. The location, atmosphere, fireplace, and cozy interior truly made our trip special. It was such a pleasure to return after a busy day to a place that felt like home. Ana was a fantastic host, and the service was exceptional. The breakfasts were varied and delicious, and after a couple of delayed flights, we were warmly welcomed with appetizers upon arrival. We especially appreciated the privacy and peacefulness of the place, as well as the stunning surroundings, including Santa Bárbara Beach and Lagoa do Fogo. Simply amazing!

The Azorean Guest House offers vintage-style rooms which include single, double, luxury triple rooms and a spacious triple standard room. All accommodations include a flat-screen TV with cable channels. Ideal place for a short stay, e.g. on the first or last day when coming from or heading to the airport. It is just a few minutes from the airport and it would actually be possible to walk there. Taxi reservation for our early morning flight was also flawless. The breakfast was delicious with a great variety.

The whole decoration of the Azorean Urban Lodge is ruled by modernity, colours and comfort. Each bedroom is dedicated to a different character and features a private bathroom, either inside the bedroom or in the hall. This place was perfect to stay the first few nights in Sao Miguel. It had everything you need- comfy bed, separate bathroom and a equipped kitchen. I stayed in a single room the first night and then my friends and I shared a room with three single beds and attached bathroom. Parking can be tricky- the streets are narrow but we did not have any problems finding spots near the lodge. Also, you will hear planes overhead- this is close to the airport so it makes it convenient in that way but if you don't want that noise, you will want to stay farther away from the airport.
