The hotel is situated on a gorgeous island just a short boat ride from Xiamen. We were given a fantastic room that far exceeded our expectations and really made our stay on Guyangyu special. The reception staff took care to meet us from the boat and communicated via WeChat very well, they even recommended an excellent restaurant. We will return.

The island of Gulangyu is a fantastic place to stay, and this hotel was well located on the island. The hotel had a fantastic boutqiue feel, with very accommodating and friendly staff, clean and well designed rooms, good AC, local cuisine for breakfast, and a lovely boutique art shop in the hotel as well. We travelled with friends and family (including a small child) and everyone enjoyed their stay. Additionally, there is plenty close to the hotel including restaurants, convenience stores and other shops.

Fantastic hotel if you want to explore Xiamen and the region. Ellie is the perfect go-to person for someone who were first timers in Xiamen like us -- hardly any difficulty in communicating. She is very helpful in person and online, and quite dependable. Location of the hotel is accessible, quite near a bus station that we used to go to Gulangyu ferry terminal, and accesses to the beach. She has some good recommendations too.
