A stunning hotel on the riverside right in the heart of Guayaquil's Historic Park. The rooms are large and well decorated, the service is excellent and the food - both at breakfast and in the various restaurants - is really good. By staying at the hotel you are located literally inside the park, which has a lot of flora and fauna as well as various old buildings that have been restored either as museums or in one case as an upscale restaurant. Guayaquil is very hot and humid, and the hotel felt like an oasis from the city and the heat. It has an orchid garden courtyard inside, a beautiful old chapel which is still active, and a very pretty and well appointed gym. We spent a lot of our stay in and around the hotel, and although it's definitely not cheap, we were extremely grateful to have booked it (we were stopping in Guayaquil on our way to Galapagos).

Set in a charming house in Samborondón, Casa García is located in the safest area of the city, within a private citadel next to the Historical Park and has 24/7 security.

I had a wonderful experience at this hotel. It is in a very beautiful and secure location, it is also very elegantly decorated and clean. The staff are all so warm, welcoming, attentive and friendly. Highly recommend!

The reception was excellent given our very late arrival. This standard continued. We had a very pleasant room of good size with a view.

I must commend the people of Ecuador and their hospitality, especially in this hotel. When you go please ask for Liliana at the front desk. She is amazing! Also, the concierge is excellent! Cabs, and also the hotel shuttle were there to take us to wherever we needed to go. I must also mention the breakfast. There was such a variety and everything tasted great.

The staff truly were incredible from the moment we arrived, everyone went above and beyond to help. For example, we needed assistance with our Galapogos form, and was helped with each step. As well, we needed some cash from an ATM, the security man didn't just tell us where the bank machine was. He went with us and stood by as we got our cash out. The morning shuttle was stuck waiting at the airport, and without us knowing, they had a paid private taxi at the door minutes early the take us. That is great customer service. We highly recommend this hotel! We also tried the room service food, and it was great, reasonable.
