I booked La Chartreuse last minute, and how lucky was I to come across this hidden gem . The location is brilliant being beside the tram and bus stop, which brings you right into the centre, la gare and airport. The place is spotless, and your host Pierre sends a welcome pack via email so you know exactly what to expect. The interior is modern French chic, breakfast is basic, but enough. If I ever have the pleasure of going back to Bordeaux I will 100% stay here.

+ Lovely, cozy and nicely decorated apartment located in a typical old-style Bordeaux building, without an elevator (there is just one staircase to get up). + Well equipped with everything you might need during your stay + Despite the location in a lively area, with lots of bars and restaurant, the apartment is very quiet. You surely will sleep tight! + Oliver was very responsive and he kindly let me check in earlier as the apartment was ready.

My stay was exceptional. I chose B&B La Maison Galiène because it was close to where my friends were staying and was less expensive. When I compared their room to mine, though, I have to say that my room was much, much better!! The bedroom was spacious and beautifully decorated and the bathroom was also generously sized and completely updated. It also had a large space for sitting and watching television or eating breakfast as well as a large balcony where you could sit outside and enjoy your breakfast. Speaking of breakfast, I had forgotten it was included, so was pleasantly surprised by the large basket of food I received each morning. I had a large choice of bread (including a croissant), juice, jam, yogurt, fresh fruit, muesli, honey, cheese, ham, so many good things to eat! I would 100% stay here again. Camille & William were also very accommodating when I asked if I could leave my luggage there before and after check-in. Very welcoming!
