The front office staff is so professional. We arrived the hotel early (around noon.) We booked 2 room, 1 family and 1 double and at that time the double room was not ready (which the family room zone was ready for new guests.) The staff immediately changed our room type to be 2 family rooms which were next to each other. That was so great because if we stayed in different room type, we had to stay in different floor. And the rooms were ready, big and clean.

When I was thinking about going to Liverpool, I had a quirky accommodation in mind. The cherry on top would have been a music themed hotel, yet I understood that I maybe was asking for too much. So, I searched the internet and finally came across The Baltic. Right at first glance I knew I had found the perfect fit for me: The unusual shape of the building with its rose-coloured entrance, bold illuminated letters and opulent flower decor gave the impression this place has emerged out of a fanciful Tim Burton movie. My pretty blue room was located on the first floor, directly above the in-house pub. Still, the laughter and well-chosen songs were never too loud. After all, the Baltic is not only a hotel, but a concept. The corridors were painted black and there was music and dim light during breakfast most of the days – It is called rock ’n’ roll and I absolutely loved it. Breakfast was great with plenty of choice, the personnel was most friendly and helpful. This is the Liverpool hotel that I thought only lived in my imagination, while gladly someone had already brought it into reality. To me it was magical.
