The hostel exceeds the expectation of other hostels you'd find in Southeast Asia. The receptionists are very hospitable and friendly (plus they are all proficient in English). You can expect clean rooms akin to those you'd find in high-end spas around Phuket and Bali and room service is offered even in 4-man dorms. The ambience offered here is absolutely refreshing! Thank you Snooze, and I will definitely return.

The kitchen staff were instructed to prepare a breakfast specifically for me - this act of kindness, generosity and attention, I will never forget. I was able to enjoy a truly Yogi/Javanese/Indonesian taste. I am very grateful.
Another thing for which I am grateful, is the fruit basket that was hand selected and decorated specially for me.
One more thing for which I am grateful, is the exceptional collection of books on Indonesian art/architecture/culture in the library that the hotel management has made available for peruse.

One of the cleanest, most modern and nicest hostel we have stayed in. Feels more like an art hotel. Staff are so friendly and welcoming, they couldn’t have done more. Dorms are really private and very comfortable. Hostel is in a great location

Quiet neighborhood in a well located area (it's walking distance from many touristic places). Breakfast are simple, but really good and you can find western and indonesian options in the menu. Eventhough is a shared bathroom, they're always cleaned, the shower has hot water and decent pressure. For last, but not less important, the staff are AWESOME I felt like home and I was assisted during all my staying and to have all the tours as well. Thank you so much Anggit, Tias and Frank! I wish you all the best o/

We loved our stay at Omah Siliran and wanted to extend for another two nights but sadly there were no vacancies.
Ita was absolutely wonderful in helping us to arrange alternative accommodation. We will remember her for her kindness.
The amenities were excellent, even including bath sheets and towels. Cleanliness was to a very high standard. Furnishings were very tasteful.
We will definitely be more organised and book in advance for our next trip to Yogyakarta and will be staying at Omah Siliran.

The welcoming and friendly staff on arrival and throughout the stay. The building was fabulous, colonial style with big rooms and beds. There were areas to sit in and free tea, coffee and water. The breakfast was good and they did us a pack up on our leaving day as we went early. The atmosphere was very calm after the chaos of Yogykarta! It was a perfect location, on a quiet street. We could walk to the square where every single evening there were lots of street good stalls. We rented a moped to get around, but Grabs were good too. We loved our stay here and would definitely come back!

We stayed here last minute as our previously booked accommodation in Yogyakarta was not as pictured.
We booked in after 10PM and the staff were incredibly helpful in making sure we were okay. The room itself was spotless, virtually new and very comfortable- breakfast was also included which we didn’t realise but was pleasantly surprised!
Note, it is a requirement that if visiting as a couple you must be married which may impact visitors…we did not have to prove this but just to be aware
