Staying at the Dopa Hostel was one of the best experiences of my life. It felt like settling into a home with friends. The kind, generous and supportive staff made it feel like visiting friends. They gave great advice about where to go and what to do in Bologna and were eager to help with anything. It was impeccably clean, orderly, and cozy. We even had a fun special vegetarian dinner with wine where the solo travelling guests became friends. The rooms were cozy with big bunk beds with large wood frames and curtains that felt very private. Thr bathrooms with toilet and shower were spacious, clean and beautiful. Having a kitchen with all the spices and cooking equipment you could possibly need was a huge plus. Eating the included breakfast each morning was a great way to meet other travelers.
I could not recommend the Dopa Hostel more. This is the best hostel I have ever been to right in the University district and a short walk from anything you could want to see in Bologna.

I had a great experience in Ostello Bello Bologna and I truly recommend this hostel! I can't say a lot about the social vibe, because I got there a day after they opened and naturally there weren't many guests, but the team were so kind and I felt really welcomed. The 8 person dorm was great, it kinda feels like a 4 person dorm because it is separated and has 2 bathrooms, it has two balconies and a lot of room.
The common areas are the coolest I've seen in any hostel so far, such a cool vibe and design
Overall a great place to stay in for budget travelers

The apartment is very spacious, very well equipped with everything you may need and particularly clean .It is right in the heart of Bologna, yet it is super quiet. A lot of wonderful trattorie and bars around, just a few steps from the shopping district. Check-in was smooth and easy, we truly appreciated a stocked cupboard with the essentials (salt and pepper, olive oil and vinegar, vegetable stock cubes , coffee, tea, chamomile and sugar ) for a quick pot of pasta and a cup of coffee or tea.

The apartment is close to the university. The hostess is a very nice woman who met us. It is spacious and clean enough. You can easily park around the corner in the paid parking lot. The city of Bologna itself is quite compact, so from here you can walk almost everywhere you need. Recommended.

Great location, in the city center, with a lot of restaurants and shops nearby. The host was reachable and friendly and we felt she gave her best to accommodate us in a professional way. Everything was clean and comfortable. We had some water, a few bottles of soda and cookies, coffee and tea at our discretion, even one piece of chocolate for each one of us - we really appreciated this and we thank Monica for this kind of treatment. Sonia was so friendly, warm, accommodating and made us feel so at home. Her morning array of delicious breakfast items was amazing...not to mention the delicious coffee varieties she made for us. We established new friendships with people who had stayed there many times before
