The hospitality from the team is amazing. The whole team greeted us upon reaching the ryokan and served us hot tea upon returning to the room after a long day out. It really have the "coming home" feeling. The food is Kyoto speciality and there are so many courses to finish for the evening meals. It's really great to try out new cursine e public bath is well maintained and is quite exclusive as this is a small ryokan. Overall, we loved our stay here and my kids are hoping to visit them again.

The hotel was beautiful, our room was spacious and clean. The location was also perfect - a metro stop away from the Railway station and a walking distance from the city center and many tourist attractions.

Check-in process was smooth and they graciously kept our luggage before and after our check-in/check-out. Also, they had good collection of free tea and coffee which we loved. The bus stop is just 100m from the property and travelling in bus is a better option in Kyoto, although it gets crowded. The station is around 800m, but it is easy to walk from there as well. A lot of temples are just in walkable distance(<=500m) from the hotel. The room was comfortable and if you are looking to stay in Gion, choose this one.
They provide you details of nearby restaurants, which is really sweet.
