The hotel itself is huge, very well kept and stylized. The staff were nice and spoke English well so it was easy as a foreigner. The room itself was large and extremely clean as the rest of the hotel. The bed was comfortable. The bath was large and very nice, they provide you with bath salts for a nice soak. There were a few different tea sets you could try, one of them being a matcha set. It was quiet, I couldn't hear my neighbors at all. I got a massage, the masseuse was very nice and professional, I felt relaxed. The food at the restaurants was very good as well, there were a few options for different cuisines and budgets. Overall a great experience and value for money. I came to relax and managed to do just that!

Everything about this experience felt so welcoming and authentic. Our host was dressed in a kimono and provided a memorable tea ceremony. The breakfast was delicious! Absolutely recommend.

Maso was lovely!! The place is clean and he cares a lot about all the guests. Thank you so much! I really enjoyed staying here. The location was really good too, buses at only 5 mins walking.

Toni the host was the the most friendly and cool dude I've met on my hostel adventures, he was great just to chat to but super helpful with advice and help with info about kyoto! The area is quiet which is nice and also close to everything you need.

The room was spacious, clean, comfortable, and within a short walking distance of the Kyoto Gyoen National Garden. There was a washer and the bathroom served as the drying room. The kitchen was clean and well-equipped.

A very cozy traditional Kyoto house. Everything about the stay was perfect. The hosts were so friendly and welcoming. I liked the location right next to Kitano Tenmangu Shrine and a 20 minute walk from Kinkaku-ji. I highly recommend this place. 😊

The Rinn was a beautifully appointed wooden one storey house with our bedroom upstairs and lounge, kitchen and bathroom downstairs. The bed was excellent and very comfortable, the location excellent as we walked to Kyotos Imperial Palace and staff were very friendly and helpful. We will certainly return!

The staff make this hotel. Location is fine, rooms are nice, traditional with modern style and touches but the staff make the place. Ignore the star rating, that's down to minimal additional facilities, if you don't want/need a pool etc, you can't go wrong here.
