We had the most wonderful stay at Assi. The host is so warm, welcoming, and generous. Even though she couldn't speak much English and we can't speak much Japanese communication was no problem due to her willingness to use a translation app. We stayed in room 1 which is a Japanese-style room with futons. It was so spacious and had everything we needed and more - a kettle and fridge, sofa, even a massage chair (which was heavenly after walking all day) and our own private patio looking our over the beautiful garden. The breakfast was outstanding, prepared with so much care. There is also coffee, tea and snacks in the kitchen, which was very much appreciated. Bathroom facilities are shared but were clean and tidy and all toiletries - even skincare - was provided. We also enjoyed the private onsen. Staying at Assi feels like you're a guest in someone's home in the best possible way.

Excellent service - in particular, there was strong snow at the day when we checked out that our car could not move. The staff helped us to find and install the tyre chain so that we can move on to the next destination. I reserved the room in another website with the need of private onsen in the room. The staff was very responsive for my inquiries but since the other booking site cannot address my question, I changed to book in booking.com. Hotel staff could confirm my request immediately after my new booking. Food is nice and portion is about right. There won’t be too many food left.

The place is fantastic. Worth every dollar spent on. The place is nice. The staff was super friendly. The service is awesome. It got free parking. Meals are incredible. I booked a room with private hot spring and I did not regret it. The staff was exceptionally helpful with everything I asked. Definitely exceed my expectations. Highly recommend staying at this place for a night or two in Yufinin.

The staff who came out to meet us and carried our luggage as soon as we parked in the parking lot, and those who helped with our luggage when we left and saw us off until we left the parking lot, were all very kind. The room was spotless and nice. The private open-air bath attached to my room provided a fantastic solo hot spring experience, and the quality of the spring water was so good that it made my skin silky smooth. The room is so big space and have everything that you need. Our room have Onsen + massage chair + separate toilet room and shower room. The private outdoor Onsen also ur highlight. One more thing, lovely Japanese living room with great garden view just like the photo in booking.com. The scenery is just right!! The staff also great service...even though some cannot speak fluently but you can feel the high level of service mind.
