Bardo is… unique… When arriving at night, at the front desk, we could already feel that the atmosphere was different then other places we’ve been too. At the very first step you make your way to your room, you know that you are on a journey. When passing by the pool with all those trees, plants, lights, and decorations it gets clearer why you came here. You can feel the balance and respect that has been put in between the style of the infrastructures and the nature that is surrounding it, making it a place of harmony. Once we’ve arrived at the end of the path to our room, we could only be amazed by the simplicity, authenticity and taste of decoration. We were about to live in connection with Mother Nature. The transformation starts here. Not only the hotel made us feel reconnected to nature but the themazcal made us reconnect to our true selves and we felt more alive. It’s an incredible experience that I recommend to anyone who meditates and is looking for a higher self awareness and spiritual connection. Also the staff made us feel welcomed and took great care of us at anytime and any moment! Special thanks to Jay, Fernando and Shio at the front desk, who were really helpful and devoted when ever we needed help; to Alejandro, Martin, Manual, and Martin for there smiles, positive vibes and sympathique but professional way of being; to Gloria and the massage team who are very professional and caring; to Diego and Claudia, for they’re open hearts, minds, spirits and amazing work; to the cooking staff for there delicious dishes; to the security staff, who made us feel safe; and finally to the cleaning and gardening staff that makes this places magnificent, cared, respected and always tidy. Una Vida and his twin hotel Hotel Bardo (you can use both pools and restaurants) are very well designed with a strong attention to detail, definitely look like a small heaven in which we enjoyed staying by the pool in a peaceful and flourished environment with good quiet music. Delicious breakfast and staff always smiling! Near the centre (max 15mn by walk). Special note to the Guest Experience Staff that was super attentive and responsive regarding an issue with some noisy neighbors during a night.

We had a great stay at Layla Tulum. It was very small and cute hotel. The staff was very friendly. The girls at the reception were always ready to help us with suggestions. The place is located close to lot of nice restaurants and the rooms were clean. Ps the hamburgers and the hummus were also delicious.

Really loved our stay at Zamunda. The rooms are spacious and super clean, with a great patio where we spent a lot of time. Can’t say enough about the garden and pool area, which were giving a relaxed vibe and you could feel like in staying nature even tho the accommodation is in town. We really appreciate Erica’s welcoming and all the info she provided in the messages which basically covered all our needs. 🫶 A big plus is the Palma Central foodtruck area next by, which has a great vibe and offers lots of food options. A place we definitely recommend and we’d love to come again one day!

The owner is french - like us, it was really nice talking with him. He gave us a map our the recommended restaurants and cenotes nearby. They had some cats, lovely dogs, and even an opossum ? The swimming pool was really nice, we took a lot of bathes in it and were always alone. And the breakfast was also really good.
