Before I write this review I want readers to know that I'm over 40 and I'm used to good hotels while traveling. This was my first experience with hostel (and first time to New York). With that I say I can fully recommend this hostel! I was in a room with 5 others, I chose women's dorm and everybody were considerate. Not long wait for the bathroom and quiet and nice. I slept very well the 3 nights I spent at the hostel. The room was always clean and the mattress was truly comfortable. So cosy sleeping in my small "shelter". :) The location of the hostel is very good. Just next to Central park, short walk to Times Square (7-8 min) and also a walking distance from Empire State and Summit One Vanderbilt, maybe 25 minutes. The public space (each floor has its own) was nice, relaxing music 24/7 and there you could sit and eat or surf the internet while charging your phone. Felt relaxed and good there. Staff is also very nice. Remember to bring your own lock. ;) (I also brought hangers with me which was a good idea). And take notice you will be charged for insurance fee when you get there, 100$, which you get back few days after you leave.
