Amazing views!! The cabin was very roomy, clean and comfortable. The kids loved seeing the wildlife who weren’t phased by us being there. There was more than enough room for our family.

Amazing final night in Tasmania. Outstanding views with friendly host and adorable wallabies. The driveway was fine. A little bumpy but not as bad as previously reviews. Perhaps more work had been done. A credit to the owners who have done an incredible amount of work to make these houses possible to visitors. Highly recommend Mount Rumney Escapes as a Tasmanian stay. From four travelers that love a touch of adventure.

You could be in central Hobart which is buzzy and interesting, OR you could have the most stunning view of Hobart and sit on the deck, watching the sunset with a glass of wine, a takeaway pizza and 20 mins away from the airport with wild wallabies less than 6ft away. I feel very lucky to have stayed here, for such a reasonable price - I imagine that next summer, or in a few years, the secret will be out and it will be very expensive and all booked up at Mt Rumney Escapes. It really is exceptional, and I wish we had booked to stay longer than the one night at the end of the road trip before we went to airport. It would be such a gorgeous place to stay for a longer period of time. On a basic level, it was clean and comfortable, and had everything we needed. But more than that, the hosts were so proactive and helpful - giving detailed information on how to reach the property etc. My mum left something behind, and within an hour of the checkout time, the hosts had messaged offering to post it back to the UK.

Foreshore Hotel is situated in Lauderdale, on Hobart's picturesque Eastern Shore. It is within 20 minutes' drive of both Hobart Airport and Hobart CBD (Central Business District).
