I am an Australian who only speaks English. The team member found Kimmy who was very fluent in English and was over the top helpful. He wrote out locations for me to go in English then Chinese so I could communicate to get transport to where I wanted to go. He even helped me with how to set up payment apps through phone since you can’t use credit card In China. I would highly recommend Kimmy if you are an English spoken traveller. A1 service Thankyou 😊

This hotel is Shanghai's best kept secret. If you need to stay north of the city, stay here. It feels like a miniature Disneyland. Pictures of the grand staircase are accurate and do not disappoint. Staff checking in told me that the rate for my room had changed -- it had actually become *cheaper* relative to what I booked. They spent a half hour trying to get me the cheaper room rate -- outstanding. The bedroom was luxurious, like staying in a palace. Largest bed I've ever seen -- 1.5x wider than it was long. Short walk from Baoyang Rd metro station. Maybe a half hour to get back to the city on the metro, so not too long though it feels long the first time! Mall next door has food and other amenities. Breakfast was delicious. This was the best hotel I stayed in for the price during my last trip to China.

Great location, the building is next to the subway station and a mall. The room was cozy and clean. And the staff is very helpful and friendly.

The hotel is super comfortable, it is already the third or fourth time I stay there. The housekeeping is very careful and changes towels everyday, as well as they always offer us bottled water everynight. I think this makes the difference. The location is awesome and our room had the view of the bund, which was perfect. At the same time it is far away from the buzzing and traffic jam area. Also the size of the room is very spacious, and 3 people can stay comfortably. They have LAGO restaurant, which is Italian and has amazing views of the Bund. In room service is also very good. They have black cod in both restaurant and room-service, which is my favorite fish. To finish, I think the hotel has a very good value for money.

Holiday Inn Shanghai Jing'an is a 5-minute walk from Shanghai Railway Station, Shanghai Long-Distance Bus Terminal and Shanghai Tourism Center.

I really liked the location (very central), the design of the rooms was nice, the rooms were very clean. This hotel offers free laundry and drying service, which is amazing. On the last day of my check out, smth happened to my internet connection, so one of the guys working in the hotel helped me order a taxi to the airport, which I’m very thankful for.

Rather local hotel, very friendly staff, not English speaking but via live-phone-translation not an issue. Quiet rooms, very nice Chinese breakfast with some western options.

Bulgari Hotel Shanghai has a garden, shared lounge, a terrace and bar in Shanghai. Offering a restaurant, the property also has free bikes, as well as an indoor pool and a sauna.
