The interior of the hotel captivated me at first sight, I'm a tea guy so I was definitely the target audience. The common area and dining space has great views on the city, the interior of the hotel is just mind blowing, and the best part was tea-making kit in the room in a separated corner of the room, high-quality black tea was provided. This is something I've never experienced before, at least not this high quality. I'll go back to Guilin, just to stay here again.

The location is fabulous. It’s in a small village with emphasis on outdoor activity, an idyllic lake with an interesting walk and only a short distance to the reed cave. The staff is very friendly and keen to help whenever possible. Michelle’s English is very good!

Amazing hospitality and friendliness of host. We ordered laundry and everything was folded and left in our room. Great fresh breakfast to choose from. Host helped to plan and book everything. Room was modern and spacious with various interesting interior design details.

The hotel is near the central railway station and a short walk from Elephant Trunk Hill and the lakes, so it is a really convenient base. Plus you have a view of the river which is also nice. The room is not too fancy, but it is spacious and comfortable. David was helpful, he can help you with the logistics of your stay. Food was also nice. If I come back to Guilin, I know where to stay!

We had a great time in Beyond Villa Guilin. The whole staff is very helpful and always available. They helped us find a great river cruise and told us how to walk to the Reed Flute Cave, both of which are well worth it. It's in a cute village with good places to eat (one restaurant accepts Visa). The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfasts are fantastic and very healthy.
