It’s the perfect place if you like beautiful Caribean beaches! The hotel is right at the white beach, turquoise water, perfect for swimming and kanoeing. Hammocks and chairs on the beach. Huts/ little houses are very clean and comfy, ours had AC and fan. WiFi, electricity and water worked perfectly. I loved the nearly private beach, it’s a calm beach, ideal for relaxing, still you can walk along the beach. Food and drinks in the hotel are super delicious and prices are fair! It‘s easy to reach by boat! The place has a new owner, so you should check only newer reviews :) Canilo, Breiner, Neider, the cooking ladies are super friendly and helpful!

We had an unforgettable night at this hotel. It’s a simple standard, but the view and the warmth of the hosts are priceless. There are only a few rooms, and everything feels very private and personal. A great contrast to the tourist crowds in Cartagena and other cities. The sunset was the most beautiful we’ve ever seen in Colombia. Definitely recommended if you’re looking for an authentic experience.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND. We stayed here for two nights and wish we could stay more. It is pure relaxation - island life in a rustic and calm way. The huts are perfect, clean, bug free and just what you need. Don't expect luxury, but you have comfy beds, mosquito nets, cold running water, wifi and electricity (we had it all day and night unlike other places). The staff are fantastic and friendly, even though we spoke no Spanish and they don't know English (google translate becomes your best friend), they were super helpful and cute. They also offer snorkeling and nighttime plankton trips, although we didn't do these. The free breakfast is great too, and we paid 35,000 for lunch on our final day which is an absolute must try - the ceviche was out of this world and comes with a huge salad, rice, fries and a drink. The location itself is a little tucked out of the way but reachable from Playa Libre beach and La Cocoterra beach in under 5 mins (both are great local beaches- the latter is way busier but has more shade). Make sure you take cash - this is a cash only island.

As a young solo female traveler, I cannot recommend this trip highly enough! The island felt very safe and exclusive and I loved having a small secluded part of the island to myself with the view of the water. Everything was 10/10, from the boat rides to the welcome greetings and drinks. The staff was all superb, very friendly, and attentive. They even remembered my bungalow name! The food and drinks from the restaurant were incredibly fresh and tasted phenomenal. My favorite part was having coffee delivered to my door in the morning, as well as the lunch orders that came freshly prepared in a timely manner. I participated in the yoga session, sunset tour, and kayaking and loved it! Everything was well organized and I love the personalized service, including reserving a chair for the day. I am returning next time with friends and family and will be renting out your biggest and best bungalow!

Isla Marina is a small island right next to Isla Grande - much quieter and much more private. We took one of the many shuttles departing from the harbour and , after an adventurous sea journey, arrived perfectly on time for a lovely reception by the kind staff. The hotel is small with only 5 rooms, which means that you almost have a private beach/dock. They have an excellent restaurant and bar on-site, which means that in the afternoons, some boats come to visit and have lunch (fresh lobster straight from the trap!) here for a few hours. But the mornings and evenings are idyllic and private: the sunsets in the calm bay are spectacular. I read some reviews that were unhappy with the lack of beach: it's true that the actual beach is only a few metres wide. This is more than what we saw anywhere on the island(s) - most use their docks with comfortable lounge chairs, as did this ecohouse. It's really not an issue at all. Additionally, because the ecohouse is in the middle of a small bay, the water is perfectly calm and pleasant for swimming, with no strong waves or currents.
