We were two families of 4 each . We had this big house where we could fit in with a extra bed on the floor but it worked fine. You are located in the heart of a farm family owned. The owner is Hermida, a lovely lady who is helped by the whole family, her grandson who speaks english came to welcome us. You have to take the breakfast and diner there, it is like being in Sra Hermida's kitchen. You eat fresh products from the farm. It is just a lovely location and they have so much to tell you about the place. We recommend 4x4 to explore Monteverde and to get to the house but the view is amazing from your lodge. Do not hesitate

Everything inside the house looks new. Very comfortable big bed, very hot shower, unlike the rest of Costa Rica, exceptionally clean throughout. Would definitely stay again.

The Location is very good, not directly in the center of monteverde but can be reached by some walking minutes or a very cheap taxi drive but very quiet. The staff was really friendly and very helpful. They booked for us the taxis, answered every question really fast and were very kind. The breakfast was very good, there are a lot of options one can choose the evening before. The lodge had everything what we needed

This property is absolutely stunning. The owners of the property are both so lovely and welcoming when you arrive. The rooms are huge, very very clean and beautifully decorated. The winner is the garden though, it is absolutely beautiful and such a nice place to relax and spot monkeys and other wildlife. It is about a 3.5km walk to the cloud forest and although it’s a bit out of Santa Elena there are nice restaurants and bakeries next door. There is also a big kitchen that is well stocked with cooking equipment etc. The hosts also provide you with a coffee maker in your room and coffee each day. It’s a really fantastic place to stay.

Carlos and Werner have created the most amazing experience. Their home is just so comfortable and has everything you need. Carlos’ cooking is fantastic! If you’re lucky enough to have the Deutsch pancake you’ll love it. Werner was so good with the tours and really took the time to make sure I had the best experience, suggesting options that weren’t on my radar but were fantastic. There aren't enough positive adjectives available to describe our stay here. What an amazing facility, everything was just perfect. Staff were amazingly helpful, beds so comfortable, breakfast gorgeous. And the dining experience in the treetop restaurant was divine, definitely worth doing!

Really great authentic, high quality dinner and also breakfast; the rooms (bungalows) are much more beautiful than the pictures are showing - really nice rooms with everything you need. the surroundings are very quiet with a beautiful garden; the owners are more than friendly and helpful! Monteverde and Santa Elena is good reachable in a short drive. We would come to Rancho de Lelo again for sure!! Thank you for everything!
