The drive there is already awesome, definitely need a 4x4. Once arrived, for some extra money, we took another room with an awesome view. Who needs a TV with a view like this. The staff is so friendly, welcoming, helpful and makes you feel at home. The dinners are home cooked and you can taste that, local products and healthy, lots of veggies and fruits. The bed is extremely comfortable, when you're in the shower, you're looking over the manuel antonio national park. Big balcony, where you can just sit for hours and look over the park and birds flying by. No ac and not needed, it cools down to a really nice temperature at night. We booked an extra night.

Great place, clean, tidy, helpful staff. It takes strength to reach the room, but that's not a problem.

The best view I ever had from my room. Beautiful modern hotel, very nice breakfast, tucans and macaws were coming to sit on the trees in front of us during breakfast. The only thing I can complain about is the very steep and narrow road uphill, but that's true about many roads in Costa Rica Overall - amazing stay!

This accommodation is featured in an extremely nice (to us) location, newly built and well-kept. Its location just by a stream makes for much wildlife nearby, such as spider monkeys, macaws, ”morfos”, jesus lizards, and sloths. We saw like three of them within minutes of our arrival. Also, two friendly local dogs roamed the premises, but the owners were attentive and made sure the dogs weren't ever a bother. The rooms, or cottages, were fresh with effective air conditioning, hot-water showers and a nice patio. Carlos, the owner, and his family and staff were very nice, very easy-going and sociable. Our kids are saying we need to return here if we ever come back to Manuel Antonio. It's a quiet place since it's not directly on the main road through the Manuel Antonio/Quepos area. During the morning hours you can at times hear howling monkeys. Following the water downstream about 45 minutes leads to a waterfall, it's a nice fairly easy hike, mostly clean, but there were places that had some junk that had been flushed downstream lying about and we regret not bringing a bag so we could help clean up the otherwise really nice area.

this was the best stay we had during our three week trip around Costa Rica. The secluded location, the amazing wild life right in front of the bungalow, the sunsets in front of our porch, the waves crushing rocking us to sleep. it was perfect and the most amazing end to our beautiful trip. when we come back, this will be the place we will return to straight away 🙏🏼

Amazing location a minutes walk from a beautiful undeveloped beach in sleepy Matapalo. We had the most wonderful experience on arrival. Almost instantly we saw an Iguana on the roof of the neighbouring room. A capuchin monkey did too and chased the Iguana around the roof before the Iguana jumped off into a hedge! Going downstairs we then saw two slothes in the trees, before heading to the beach and seeing a troop of 50+ monkeys. Was our best nature experience in Costa Rica!! Lovely large room with good facilities too. Highly recommended
