The property was new and the staff was very welcoming. Also, in the morning, seeing squirrel monkeys and macaws from our room was breathtaking.

This lodge far exceeded our expectations and will be the highlight of our travels in Costa Rica. Our three night stay provided time for guided tours and relaxation at the top of a mountain. We saw over 60 different birds and the cicadas were deafening! We enjoyed traditional Costa Rican meals and learned so much about the culture, flora and fauna from the hosts. The hosts respect for and commitment to protecting the environment shines! Highly recommend this experience!

We were in a "tiny house" I would say. It was clean, really good with a balcony with a view which was really cool to check out the animals and nature. The owners are very very friendly, they gave us a lto of recommendation for restaurants, places to visit that are very local. There's a shared kitchen that is super clean and equipped. We came by car so it was very accessible to go to Manuel Antonio (20min) and beaches around. The city is accessible at 6min by car, by walk it's a bit far I guess. I recommend 200% !

Extremely clean, it looked like everything was brand new. The hot tub was great, and the shower got hot. Very close to two different minisupers for groceries and stuff to cook. Overall, it was an excellent place.

I booked my stay last minute (about an hour before I arrived) and it was the best decision! I was pleasantly surprised to find they had only been open for a month. The resort and rooms were beautiful and spotless. Every staff member was friendly and genuinely wanted to ensure a lovely stay. Waking up in the beautiful environment and being able to have deliciously roasted coffee each morning was just what I needed for the tail end of my trip. Management went above and beyond in every way. They even made accommodations for me to get my much needed caffeine when I had to leave for a snorkeling trip before the cafe opened. They arranged for my lattes to kept in the cooler and made the 24 hr security guard aware, so I could just grab them, add ice, and head to my excursion! Jonathan and Lucia made the best lattes and provided exceptional service. I can’t recall everyone else’s names but they were all wonderful and kind. Then there’s the restaurant. Every single dish I ordered was absolutely delicious! The food was fresh, flavored to perfection, the portions were generous, and the presentation was beautiful! The owner should be very proud of his staff. I’m so glad I made the decision to stay with them. It was truly a lovely experience and a pleasure to have met the wonderful people who made the experience even better! Thank you all for making me feel so welcome!

The host was great, very responsive and friendly. The place has a washing machine you can use for just 1.5 EUR. There us AC, TV, kitchen, parking.. Just across the street there is a small bakery where you can grab coffee to go. Supermarket is close too. There is also a super friendly and cuddly neighborhood cat that stops by, if you would like some furry friend :) Quepos as a place I would not put on any bucket list but if that is where you are going i can warmly recommend Los Sueños :). They can also help arrange a tour to Manuel Antonio (with the transportation).

Miguel and his family are yery kind and help you with everything you need. The Hostel is made very naturally and gives you the nicest vibes in El Cocal. I definetly recommend you to do some Surfing lessons with Miguel. He really take time for the lesson and explains from the beginning to the end how to get things done. Even if you are a beginner. Jan's place was just lovely, and so was she! The flat was comfortable, characterful and private, with a lovely balcony. The shared pool is gorgeous, with a wonderful view. Jan is so generous and interesting, and we loved having a chat. The friendly dogs were fun to cuddle as well. Quepos is a great little place (much better than Manuel Antonio). Make sure you visit the Bon Bonete French patisserie, and the market on Friday and Saturday for great fruit, veg and crafts.

We were there as a family and we really enjoyed it! For a hostel it's really nicely done! The kitchen area is large and the kitchen is well equipped. The staff always cleans and puts away washed dishes. The facility is very beautiful and well-kept. The rooms are ok. The absolute highlight for us was the pool! They also explicitly point out that it's not a party hostel and that's what it is- really great for families!

Beautiful hotel with different levels, well decorated. Nice to have communal kitchens and also the option of buying breakfast. The staff was very helpful and kind to our kids - helped us to organise a family friendly boat tour. We had two small children and there was a lot of books and games for us to play with, as well as the pool.
