Casa Chicua is an adorable little cottage, rustic but comfortable, and Juan (the host) couldn’t have been any friendlier or more accomodating. It’s super close to the Volcán Irazu so perfect for an early morning visit there. The views from the cottage are also amazing, we awoke early to find ourselves above the clouds. Enchanting!

This organic farm is a very special place which is hard to find any where else. The host, Luz Gabriel, is very kind and helpfull. He is providing a lot of information about plants and animals living in the area. I wish him all the best for his organic project. The place is also a good starting point to visit the Vulcano early in the morning. The food you are served here is absolutely great.

We stayed one night before our trip to Irazu. They allowed an early check in as well as keeping the luggage the next day until afternoon, so we do not have to keep it in the car unprotected. The owner and her son is very kind, told us many interesting information about the location, gave us tips and so on. Car parking possible on the spot. Very clean.

The hosts spoke great english and were super nice, they basically booked the tickets to Irazú volcano for us, told us all about the bus there, let us leave our baggage after check out with them and made us a great breakfast for a reasonable price. The room was clean, the bathroom too and beds were fine. They were really sweet and had a cute cat! :-)

We had rented the chalet for one night and it was beautiful! The chalet is very spacious and nicely decorated. It also has a little terrace where you can relax and observe the nature around. Orosi Lodge is located in a very quiet neighbourhood, very close to the centre of Orosi town. The host was lovely, and she gave us tips about what to do in the area.
