It was really simple equipment but totally fine for the time being. You can’t forget that it is an old military base which is getting changed into a “camp” so that people can enjoy the environment and the history of Don Pepe. The staff and is so friendly and helpful as well the breakfast was also a solid Costa Rican breakfast. The nature is totally different from what you know and have seen in Costa Rica. It reminded us of the forest in Europe. Must do if you stay there is to visit the museum, it’s worth it.

We stayed one night before our trip to Irazu. They allowed an early check in as well as keeping the luggage the next day until afternoon, so we do not have to keep it in the car unprotected. The owner and her son is very kind, told us many interesting information about the location, gave us tips and so on. Car parking possible on the spot. Very clean.

Spacious, very soft sheets, free washer/drier, very friendly and responsive owner, supermarket and food court around the corner. Jan can arrange a typical brekfast for a reasonable price. It took us cca 30 min from the airport by taxi. Cca 15 min by uber (5 usd) to the city center.

This clean and comfortable apartment is located in one of the safest areas of San José province next to two shopping mall that offer all you need from supermarkets to restaurants and different shops. The gym and pool with a stunning view over the city are wonderful, access to the building is easy, WiFi is fast, and Illeana, the owner of the flat, is super responsive and polite. Absolutely recommended.

The house is really peaceful, comfortable and well-equipped. Views are wonderful from all sides, lots of birds in the lovely gardens. Vera was super friendly and welcoming. We would have liked to stay longer and hope to visit again in future. The Hacienda Orosi hot springs (nearby) is also worth a visit!
