We had an amazing stay at Ruta de los volcanes. The rooms were clean and with hot water. The location is perfect for the Cotopaxi National Park. Darwin was such a wonderful host. He helped us planning our hike in the park and even helped us with our planning for the next days in Ecuador. Even though one night we were the only guests, the fireplace was lit for us and we got the best meal we had eaten in weeks.

It’s a beautiful and quite comfortable place to stay. I travelled with my family and we booked two rooms, one deluxe room for 2 persons and a Comfort suite for 3 with 2 rooms. Both had a great interior design, comfortable beds, good working fireplaces, and ecological shampoos and body creams. For the breakfast, they served fruits with muesli, bread with homemade jam, eggs, and pancakes (and tigrillo for the second day). The staff was really attentive and polite the whole time. For one day we booked a full day excursion through the national park and the local guide was really attentive and considerate, too, especially with my older parents who had to walk very slowly. Finally, the view to the Cotopaxi volcano is amazing!! Thank you very much, Chilcabamba Lodge!

Loved everything, such a peaceful environment with gorgeous grounds & all the amenities you could want. Don't miss out on this amazing stay near Cotopaxi! We stayed in the couples lodge and had a great fireplace in the room to keep us warm. The hotel organised a fab horse riding trip for us and helped us travel to our next destination. Also, you can’t get better than the view from the dining room! All in all it was fantastic - just beware it gets chilly so bring layers!
