When we arrived at Niebli farm, we were impressed by the green landscape that surrounds this 300 ha-farm. Cristina, the owner, received us with a warm welcome and her staff was very friendly and always helpful. They did their utmost best to make our stay unforgettable. As there were no places to eat nearby, we had lunch, dinner and breakfast on-site. The food was delicious and we had access to an unlimited tea/coffee station. After we came back from one of the hiking trails Cristina gave us a very interesting tour about the history of the farm. Unfortunately, the night sky was not clear so we decided not to make use of the camp fire that they offered to set for us. Our room was exactly the same like in the pictures. We had everything we needed: a shower with constant hot water, wifi and a good bed with a duvet instead of many layers of fleece blankets. The room was also equipped with a kettle, microwave and a fridge. Everything was very clean and the decor of the room was of high standard.. The beautiful surroundings and the lovely people at Niebli farm made us enjoy each single moment of our stay.

On the outside the cabins look a little dated and shabby but once inside they are very cosy and comfortable. We had Cabin 15 and the views all around were of the forest and so peaceful. For the visiting birder Sachatamia is an excellent choice with plenty of action going on around the fruit and hummingbird feeders. It’s possible to get some wonderful photographs. There are plenty of trails to walk around for those that want some extra exercise. The food was probably the best we experienced in our 10 days in the Mindo area. Needless to say all the staff were warm and friendly.

Esther was an amazing host! Helped out with a spider. beautiful surroundings in the forest and really nice food. it’s out of town, so you need a taxi, but we loved the location. Saw 6 toucans and so many hummungbirds

El Descanso is trully a hidden gem in Mindo. It is composed of two major wooden buildings around a secured yard. We especially loved the architecture of the buildings as it is authentic and lovely to watch. Its pergola where we ate really tasty breakfast is also the best spot to watch birds, hummingbirds and small forest animals. We did not expect that and it was the best spot in Mindo! The accomodation is very well maintained and the owner Rodney was always there willing to help us. We really spent lovely 4 days there and would definitelly like to come back again anytime in the future.

The staff was very friendly and helpful and served a really nice breakfast. The room, our own terrace, but also the hotel garden were all beautiful. The bathroom was very big and clean and had a nice jacuzzi. We will come back here for sure.

Casa Divina is the most beautiful lodge and a perfect getaway in Mindo. It is nestled right in the cloud forest so you can do some bird watching right from the balcony of your room. The property is absolutely beautiful and the staff are fantastic and so welcoming. The dinner and breakfast were fantastic. Highly reccomend for a relaxing stay in Mindo.
