We did the Võhandu River marathon and couldn’t think of a better place to arrive at after 100km of kayaking and getting hit by a thunderstorm. The host was incrediy helpful, flexible and welcomed us at 10pm with a local shot and hot sauna. Already considering visiting again with family.

Spent three nights there and decided to stay for one more night. All the little details made the place a perfect place for a cozy getaway. Super nice location, all the basic comfort available. We enjoyed the waterfront: rowing, fishing, sup-ing and sauna of course, the possibility to have an open fire and bbq and the forrest: picking blueberries. Sleeping with the summer warmth was okey because we could keep windows open due to moscito nets on the windows. Also close-by things to do: Peipsi järv, Taevaskoda, multiple forrest hiking routes. And, after 20 years of travelling and staying in different houses, and always having to cook with unsharp knives, we were now really happy with sharp knives. It was just nice that all these little details were in order.
